Union Meeting, 1940s.

This photograph captures the expressions of each individual union member at the meeting. By photographing the members rather than the leaders in front of the room, Grossman is indicating his opinion of which side of the room is more important. The sign probably reads "Jobs Mean National Security" - a sentiment that is as appropriate today as it was then.
